Today I’ve managed to interview Julie Barko Germany, who is organizer for the Politics Online Conference 2009 that I was due to attend in Washington DC. However due to the unfortunate turn of events, I am no longer able to attend the event but have done this interview to get some insight into all the action that has been going down at the conference. Julie serves as the director of the Institute for Politics, Democracy & the Internet and director of marketing and communications for The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management.

As some of you might already know, I was due to fly to Washington DC on April the 20th and 21st after winning FutureGov’s contest to attend the Politics Online Conference. However some last minute personal complication that was not expected has presented itself and I am now no longer able to attend this conference.

Sorry I’ve been MIA these past few days. I was ill and at the same time trying to internalize everything that’s been going on. Just in case you’re wondering why I’m going to Washington DC, its because I recently won the FutureGov competition to go to the Politics Online Conference in DC. See post to see my entry.
